The decomposition characteristics of SF6 under four types of negative DC partial discharge (DC-PD) are obtained. The relationship between the decomposition characteristics of SF6 and the PD types was further studied. Moreover, back propagation (BP) neural network algorithm [29–38] is used to recognize the PD types.
